Kelce S. Wilson was in the U.S. Air Force, active duty 1989-2002, then the reserves until 2010, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has a B.S., M.S. and PhD in electrical engineering, an M.B.A., a J.D. (law degree), and US PTO patent practitioner registration.
Additionally, he is a certified privacy professional, with CIPP-US, CIPP-E, and CIPM.
During his military and engineering career he worked in satellite control, cryptography, radar, radar jamming, low observable (stealth) aircraft, automatic target recognition, synthetic aperture radar (surveillance radar), and cybersecurity testing (white hat hacking).
As an attorney, he has worked in patent litigation, licensing, and prosecution, including with standard essential patents (SEPs), and also privacy & security matters, including both breach prevention and response.
